The roots of Logwood Village trace back to its inception as the Johannesburg branch of Sunfield Homes in 1954. In 1996, Logwood Village gained independence and registered as its own Section 21 entity. We now operate as a registered non-profit organisation, and our home's operations are partially subsidised by the Department of Social Development. This subsidy is necessary as our residents cannot fully support themselves financially; they also receive a Government Disability Grant.

Logwood Village is nestled in the picturesque West Rand countryside. We provide a loving and safe environment for adults with intellectual and other disabilities, empowering them to live to their full potential. Our goal is to offer a high quality of life, where residents feel at home and part of a caring community. With social activities, daycare facilities, and support from family and peers, we foster a sense of belonging and well-being.
